Probably the most commonly known of all alcoholic beverages is the espresso martini. During the 80’s in soho, London a lady ordered ‘something to wake me up and then *&%! me up’. The result apparently was the first espresso martini allowing people to be more alert to do silly things faster ever since.
It contains around 50 mls of vodka, 10mls of Kahlua, an espresso, coffee liquer or simple syrup (sugar & water) and ice all mixed together in a cocktail shaker. The beverage is then strained into a martini glass leaving the ice behind and garnished with a few coffee beans.
